Grey High School is requesting applications for the position of Head Coach: Rowing at Grey High School Rowing club.
The primary duties would entail:
- Daily training and logistics
- Regatta entries and planning
- Coaching and crew selections
- Recruitment and co-ordination of age-group coaches in conjunction with MIC: Rowing
- Planning and budgeting in conjunction with MIC: Rowing
- Maintenance of the fleet, boathouse and ergo room in conjunction with MIC: Rowing
- General administrative tasks as required for the effective running of the sport
- Building and maintaining healthy relations within the club.
Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification in Phys Ed, Sports Science or Sports Administration would be an advantage
- A minimum of 5 years coaching experience, with a proven track record at National Championship level
- RowSA National Coaching Accreditation Scheme Level 1 or higher
- A high level of personal rowing experience in school, university/club environment, particularly leadership positions in university, clubs or related bodies
- Valid driver’s license with towing experience (Preferably code 10 or code 14)
- Exceptional inter-personal, verbal and writing skills

General:
- The position is on a 3-year contractual basis with an annual review
- Accommodation may be offered in the school boarding house with hostel duties being an expectation
